While I am glad to report these new happenings within the Society, I must also call your attention to the old: The last issue of The Forum was 2005-06 and the Chapter News is out of date. Please, take a tour around the site, renew your membership, make a donation, then, read the submission guidelines and take a few minutes to update us on your chapter activities. Perhaps your stories can provide program ideas or networking opportunities to other chapters and confirm that we are an active Society involved in a vital and vibrant discipline. If your Chapter maintains a website, email the information so it can be added to the links included here. Help Phi Sigma Iota publicize and fulfill its mission to "recognize outstanding ability and high standards of students and faculty of foreign languages, literatures and cultures, including classics, linguistics, philology, comparative literature, ESL, bilingual education, and second language acquisition." I look forward to serving you as Administrative Director and working with you in continuing to build a thriving organization, ready to meet the needs of our members. Roz Macken |
